Emergency Broadcast are due to headline New Cross Inn, London, at the end of the month on Sunday 22nd February, for a release show for their latest EP.

Emergency Broadcast | Grace Arnold (@portraits.and.the.pit)

The band recently released their EP Make Them Pay on the 1st February with the help of Betrayed By Life Records. Recorded mixed and mastered at Londons Monolith Studios this EP features 5 new tracks from the vegan straight edge quartet and it hit all the hardcore notes.

With the title track ‘Make Them Pay‘ & ‘Disobey‘ being two I thoroughly enjoyed listening to.

Following the release of Make Them Pay the band stated the following through an Instagram post that:

‘It’s for those whose voices go unheard, whose rights are stolen and those who have lost hope. It’s for human and non-human animals, for nature and for the future we fight for.’

For their release show at New Cross Inn Emergency Broadcast will be joined by 3 support bands:

Neversaid | Robyn E.B. Photography

Queer London hardcore band Neversaid will be opening up the show. Fronted by Lila, Neversaid are known for their energetic live shows and being loudly anti-fascist and advocates for LGBTQIA+ rights.

The band came onto the scene back in 2021 and have a mix of aggressive and abrasive sounds in their style of music.

XTemperanceX

UK Straight Edge band xTemperancex are new to the scene as of last year and are showing up in the scene as someone to watch. They have recently finished recording their debut EP and I can’t wait to hear it when it comes out.

Make sure you catch these guys at the show I know you won’t be dissapointed.

Mentality | Zero Wizard

Mentality are main support for the show and they are another band that have recently came onto the scene as of last year.

Hailing from the south west in Plymouth they play a crossover style to the core. Pulling elements from hardcore, thrash and heavy metal. Fast thrashy riffs with a big focus on making songs hit hard live to get that physical response and you can really hear that with their recent single ‘Snakeskin’ released end of Jan.

I caught up with band member Ty recently so watch this space for their interview coming soon.

Tickets are still available for the show and can be found by clicking the link here to Pit.Live.

Doors open at 6pm on Sunday 22nd February 2026.

Until next time, I’ll catch you in the pit!
