Each month, I aim to highlight bands, whether their music is new or old, in hopes of bringing them the attention they deserve.
You never know, you might even discover something for yourself.
Headstone – Year Of The Stone
Release Date: 30th January 2026
Record Label: Self Released
Headstone released their latest EP Year Of The Stone at the end of January. To be fair, I would have added this one to last months playlist if it released a tad earlier.
Headstone bring their new heavy-hitting London Hardstyle through this EP with some sick features, including Liam Turton of Divine Hatred/Crowquill and Luke Manson of Xile.
They have been ripping up the UK hardcore scene since the start of the year, be sure to catch them at a show and you won’t be sorry. Hit the dancefloor!
Give my recent interview with Headstone a read and make sure to spin that new EP!
Jeweltone – Love Too Great
Release Date: 4th February 2026
Record Label: Triple Hammer Records
I found this EP just over a week ago when their track Big Mistake came on shuffle at the gym and it just hit all the right notes for some head boppin’. Jeweltone hail out of Buffalo, New York and you can definitely hear that BUFFALO STYLE in this new piece of work!
This EP has the right amount of riffs, vocals & breakdowns to get the people moving…chef’s kiss.
Personally, I’ll look forward to when these lads make a trip over to the UK.
Hopefully we won’t be waiting too long…
Feels Like Heaven – Within Dreams
Release Date: 1st January 2026
Record Label: Scheme Records
After seeing Speedway smash their set supporting Combust in London at the start of February I did a little bit of digging into them as well as the Swedish hardcore scene.
That’s when I came across this album by Feels Like Heaven. Hailing from Stockholm, Sweden this band features members of Speedway as well as Blood Sermon and Within Dreams brings a classic 80’s to early 90’s hardcore style with it’s more punky attitude. It’s definitely worth giving it a spin!
I took this quote from their Spotify bio ‘With sparse live performances and a non-existent social media presence, Feels Like Heaven is often described as Sweden’s best kept secret’.
I would definitely agree this project is a hidden gem. I like this album so much so I want to grab it on vinyl!
2nd Location – Blood & It’s Absense
Release Date: 24th July 2025
Record Label: Self Released
2nd Location came onto my radar a few weeks back through some of my East Anglia friends and some shows that were announced.
Their debut EP Blood & It’s Absence released last summer and is something I can completely dig and move along to. One track I think absolutely hits hard is Stomped Out if that track isn’t literally making you Stomp I don’t know what will.
They have some sick shows coming up, including supporting BN1’s Tempers Fray, Dispute & Broken Lungs.
Angel Du$t – Cold 2 The Touch
Release Date: 13th February 2026
Record Label: Run For Cover Records
Finally, I couldn’t not include this one.
Angel Du$t‘s latest album Cold 2 The Touch.
If you know me, you know I love Trapped Under Ice and thus have been a fan of Angel Du$t since it formed. What the guys have done with this latest album did not disappoint.
That mix of hardcore, or what they’re calling the new wave of hardcore over in Baltimore really doesn’t fail. Angel Du$t are stretching hardcore’s limits.
This melodic crossover style of hardcore is surging in popularity right now. You just have to look at Turnstile picking up two Grammy awards to see that. Yes we can split hairs about when hardcore bands surge in popularity and yes some parts of the scene are going to dislike that.
From their recent NME interview Justice Tripp said ‘I wanted people to get to the end and go, ‘Was that a hardcore record?’ And then the last songs say: yes. No question.‘
You just have to see an Angel Du$t show to see how it hits off and I’m definitely looking forward to catching them at The 100 Club in London in a few months!
Until next time, I’ll catch you in the pit!
