The guys at Smoke Over London have been hard at work recently to bring you affordable shows in the heart of Camden Town. (Literally The Heart)

Working alongside The Black Heart they aim to bring affordable hardcore shows to the forefront of London’s iconic live music scene north of the river. Camden is renowned for its live music venues and The Black Heart is nothing short of this.

Smoke Over London came out of the flames of Cut & Run Collective to host shows in the heart of the famous alternative space north of the river.

Following their first show which featured the likes of Lets Av It, Empty Threat, Held In Contempt & headlined by Stitched. Smoke Over London have revealed two further shows in the coming months, one coming this weekend!

This Sunday March 22nd see’s Norwich Straight Edge band Hour of Reprisal headlining as well as supports by Heel Turn, Paresthesia, Big Smoke & Toil.

Opening the show comes EAHC Norwich hardcore champions Heel Turn! Formed in the mids of 2025 Heel Turn have had a number of shows including Hertford Hardcore III and an EAHC x Essex crossover show which also featured Toil & Hour of Reprisal.

Heel Turn released their 4 track demo back in December 2025. Lets just say if you love wresting and hardcore these guys are for you!

We are yet to hear about the release of their debut EP but their live performances are emmence! Up next on the bill are Readings own Paresthesia.

Formed through the Uni in Reading, they have been playing shows over the last couple of years and I was lucky enough to catch their hardcore death metal at Joshfest last year and they do pack a punch.

They pride themselves on having a hardcore sound with no real restraint. With some beat-downy sections and breakdowns, but also incorporating fast hardcore as well.

Paresthesia Interview

Coming out of the heart of the capital, Big Smoke are welcome locals to the show. Their debut EP ‘From The Big Smoke‘ which features 4 tracks was released back in May 2025 and show their beatdown style in full swing.

They have been featured on some sick shows recently including shows with Lowlife and Two Piece. They will be joining our good pals in Prozpekt in Bristol this April to support french hardcore band Insurgent.

Main support is Essex Heavy Hardcore band Toil. Toil have recently featured in Norwich with Dispute, Heel Turn & 2nd Location.

Last week they released a split EP with fellow Essex hardcore band Frail called ‘Welcome To Essex‘ give it a spin below! Those tracks just go hard.

Headlining the show on Sunday is Norwich Straight Edge band Hour of Reprisal. These guys have a busy couple of months ahead of themselves with shows all over the UK so why not catch them in the capital?

Their latest EP ‘Endless War, Endless Peace‘ which was released through Bound By Modern Age Records last February features 6 undoubtedly hard hitting tracks that you should check out.

I want to make this a regular thing, give more bands the opportunity to play an iconic Camden venue, give the community an affordable regular spot in Camden again.
