HIGHER WALLS TAKE OVER BLONDIES TO CELEBRATE 1 YEAR OF NO END

Higher Walls return to Blondies Bar 30th April for No End, a celebration of the year that’s been since the release of their most cohesive release to date.

‘We wanted to celebrate what we did whilst drawing a line under it and what better way than to go back to where we launched it’ says bassist Chris.

‘We’re beyond excited that Black Mould and Empty Threat are playing alongside us, two bands highlighting what hardcore is and who all of us in Higher Walls love.’

London beatdown bandits Empty Threat join Higher Walls for this celebration! They are another sick band that has recently formed from the capital, and are set to bring carnage to the scene!

I recently caught them at the Hertford Hardcore IV show a few weekends back. After speaking with vocalist Zach we’re in for a new heavier Empty Threat which I’m sure you’ll catch a glimpse of this week.

Empty Threat are also opening the first Pit Call show for me at the end of May at The Castle, Luton so grab your tickets while stocks last!

Black Mould hail out of the Midlands and released their debut EP ‘Genesis Tracks‘ back in September 2025. They bring their heavy style of metallic hardcore featuring more and more beatdown and metalcore influences as they go to London this April.

Speaking to vocalist Helene in our interview she said It’s going to be great to finally get down to London to play at Blondies with Higher Walls and Empty Threat, we reckon that’ll be a mental night in such a small venue.

Releasing in April 2025, ‘No End‘ served to highlight the bands strengths in song writing whilst building on the sonic and visual identity of ‘Tear Them Down‘, marking a notable improvement over the latter. 6 Tracks of aggressive technical hardcore that unashamedly pushes what ‘hardcore’ is.

Higher Walls – No End

‘We started using the Technical Hardcore tag to help explain our sound’ says drummer Stefan. ‘Whilst we incorporate traditional hardcore leanings, added polyrhythms, blast beats and slap bass help to push our sound and help us stand out from the crowd.’

Lyrically, No End is as relevant as ever. Tracks like Cloak & Dagger that spoke of lies and manipulation in National Government, Thorns on the horrifying rise of Right-Wing Nationalism and Collateral Damage denouncing the genocide of the Palestinian people, are only more scathing of their subjects.

‘If you’re in a hardcore band and not talking about the mess the world is in, what are you even doing?’ vocalist Jordan decries. ‘For all the posturing and noise on stage, very little is being said.’

Perhaps that is why Higher Walls are pairing with Grapes of Wrath Records a proud anti-fascist, anti-racist, gender inclusive London record label, to make something special for the upcoming Blondies show.

Exclusive to the London show, we’ll have limited copies of No End / Tear Them Down, a double EP release on limited cassette. We wanted to do it for a long time so it’s fitting to bring it to a new crowd now’ explains Chris.

‘We’re all in our late 30s now and what with work, family responsibilities and major life events we pretty much took 6 months off after releasing the EP’ guitarist Radu says. ‘We’ve come back hard this year with a few tours and are putting the finishing touches to our first album’.
