Low Life have recently released their debut album ‘Too Hard 2 Die’ on Rucktion Records this month and to go with that…Present By LBU have announced a record release show for them headlined by one of London’s OG’s in Ninebar.

Low Life | Essex Hardcore Zine (@essexhardcorezine)

Too Hard 2 Die brings back that tough guy beatdown style that we haven’t seen in UKHC for some time. Produced by their own Matt Darby at OSK Productions and created one hell of a drum sound.

A couple of the tracks I’ve fully enjoyed from the album was ‘Beat Cop’ & ‘The Lesson’. The album also features bands such as Ironed Out, Wears Me Out & Nine Bar themselves.

The show hits the Sebright Arms, Hackney this Saturday July 25th with Ninebar, Low Life and Brightons own Blood Gutter and Outlive opening.

Outlive | Zoë Smith (@zoesmithmedia)

Outlive are one of the BN1’s finest, who released their debut EP ‘Blood4Blood’ back in July 2025 and have had some great shows this year including Last Breath Fest by Betrayed By Life Records.

Last year also brought a line up change to Outlive which we saw a few months back and they have also been working on some new material which will hopefully surface soon.

‘We have some really cool features from some of my favourite bands in UKHC right now so I’m gassed for it. We’re going a bit harder, a bit more ignorant with it and will probably continue to just get more ignorant as time goes on but keeping the groovy sections that make Outlive what it is!‘- Fen, Outlive

Fen hasn’t stopped grafting with this project and I’m so greatful that the band continues! I recently caught up with Fen to chat about Outlive so check out the interview at the link below.

Blood Gutter | @reingeblitzt

Blood Gutter made their return to the scene with their headline show in Brighton ‘The Grand Return of Blood Gutter’. After having some time out and also having a bit of a line up change frontman Baxter and Blood Gutter are breathing a breath of fresh air into this project.

Blood Gutter released their debut EP have played with some of the UK’s iconic hardcore bands over the last couple of years including the likes of Prowler, Bulldoze & lastly Your Demise and it is great to see them hit the stage again in their local scene!

Ninebar

Headlining the release show as said above is Ninebar. These guys are one of the London Hardcore scenes OG’s and to see them is definitely worth the trip.

Starting out in the late 90’s alongside the likes of Knuckledust, Kartel & Special Move to name a few, this heavy beatdown band from South London pushed the boundaries of the genre for the London scene at the time. With their influences in their early days based on the 90’s NYHC bands such as Madball, Sick Of It All & Warzone and later helping mould the UK style with their London counterparts.

‘The band have steadily evolved and progressed whilst remaining true to their initial sledgehammer sound. Heavy yet not overly metallic, with forays into speed and melody, Ninebar are never afraid to step outside of their roots in beatdown hardcore and explore other genres, always concentrating on tunes and structures rather than crowd pleasing, repetitive chugga-chugga.’ -Rucktion Records

So…get yourself down to the show this Saturday to catch some heavy shit that’ll make you want to throw yourself about and feel the pain in your knees the following day!
