In collaboration with London Straight Edge hardcore band Emergency Broadcast, Nosegrind Events is hosting a very special festival this Sunday (9th August) at Signature Brew Haggerston. GrindFest 2026!

Featuring some of the hottest upcoming bands in the UK hardcore scene. 

With a total of 11 bands throughout the day, and over 50% of this stacked bill consists of queer, femme and POC performers, brings a breath of fresh air in a largely white, male dominated scene.

With such a stacked show on the horizon here’s some of our picks from the festivals line up!

Starting out with the openers of the festival is brutal death metal band Rabbithole, who have recently performed with Idaho’s own intense powerviolence Ingrown at Piehouse back in June.

The band is still in its infancy but you’ll be sorry if you miss out because this is about to hit like a tonne of bricks!

We also have London based Vegan Straight Edge misfits xDegradationx and London post hardcore band Inner Dog who both created a buzz around their debut releases earlier on in 2026. 

Both channelling their raw energy into an aggressive sound and blending it with a kind of chaos that you need to see live.  

One of my favourites from the line up are xTemperancex with their straight edge beatdown style which will be kicking up a storm! You’ll be sure to see a lot of two-steppers and crowdkillers in line for this one.

xTemperancex released their debut demo through betrayed by life records back in February and it’s one of my favourites so far from this year!

Also featuring at this weekends Grindfest is Birmingham’s own 0121 queercore band Misgendered who will be bringing their brutality heavy sound to the capital! Misgendered’s heavy sound is best noted by one of the early comments made by the band seen below

‘We write heavy music themed around being queer, and the damage inflicted on ourselves and those around us by the systems of oppression we live under’ – Misgendered

The penultimate set comes from queer post-hardcore revivalists Neversaid, combining a throwback sound with a healthy dose of pure hardcore aggression, and leftist messaging. Neversaid fronted by Nosegrind’s own Lila recently released a new single called ‘Rewriting Her Eulogy’ back on July 22nd.

I caught up with Lila and Neversaid a few months back at High Wycombes own Phoenix Fest where their set popped off. So you’ll be a sucker to miss out on such a good time here!

Closing out the festival are the co-organisers of the festival Emergency Broadcast, who will end the night with a set full of bangers that are sure to get the crowd moving one last time.

The band released their latest EP Make Them Pay back in February with the help of Betrayed By Life Records. Their title track ‘Make Them Pay’ absolutely slaps and can be best described by the band themselves from our chat with them back on their release:

‘It’s for those whose voices go unheard, whose rights are stolen and those who have lost hope. It’s for human and non-human animals, for nature and for the future we fight for.’ – Emergency Broadcast
