Rhapsody Records are due to host one of their largest shows to date on Saturday 31st January with Danish heavy hitters Lifesick headlining the show and featuring a lot of hardcore talent across England, Scotland and Ireland joining them.
A few weeks ago it was announced that a further two artists will be joining the event to make it even more special!

Even yesterday we got some news from R.I.C.O that they will be moving on to make way for a new project.
An interview they had with Rhapsody Records explained that they will be moving away from the pure beatdown scene and focusing on writing heavy mosh anthems. Quote ‘No heavy for heavy’s sake anymore’.
To do this they are moving on with the name Nothing Pure Remains.
This event will be their first show.
Lost To Life will also be premiering their latest EP ‘No Peace For Me‘ in the UK at this show which I can’t wait for. Definitely grabbing myself some merch from the Dublin boys.
The line up for the event already includes: Lifesick, Overpower, Test of Patience, Lost To Life, Human Deceit, Maelstrom, Aggrieved (who will be playing their final show), Prozpekt, R.I.C.O (now Nothing Pure Remains first show) & Disarmed.
So without blabbering on, the additional bands joining the event are:

The young Newcastle hardcore outfit Seconds Out enter Teeside following their previous occasion at PLAY back in July. They’ve been working hard over the past year following the release of debut EP ‘Technical Knock Out‘ back in June 2025 and now look to make 2026 even bigger by expanding their reach away from the North East and across the UK. Give their EP a listen down below.

Emancipation hail from the Nottingham scene and released their latest EP ‘When the Heavens Opened…Bodies Fell‘ back in November. I caught these guys later on in November when they joined the JoshFest line up and they definitely knew how to put on a set.
But beware, it gets chaotic! You’ll see their vocalist in the pit throughout the event too.
Rhapsody Records has been running since early 2024 out of the local Teesside area supporting artists local and far and wide in the hardcore scene.
With support from the likes of Ink Drop Shop, Black Heart Tattoo Studio and BH Printing they are able to make these kinds of shows possible and at a fantastic price! We all know how poorly the music industry show prices are these days (thanks to ticketmaster…) but that’s why we love hardcore/DIY shows. It’s because the people in the scene give a shit about eachother!
Lifesick hailing from Fredericia, Denmark! With a mix of swedish death metal infused with metallic hardcore and modern breakdowns their sound is truley unique. With their most recent album released on Metal Blade Records in 2024 ‘Loved By None, Hated By All‘ has some solid groovy breakdowns whilst still incorporating that aggressiveness in the vocals and beatdowns.

Make sure you head there early to catch every band playing the bill and support the local Teeside scene. Speak to the the bands, get some merch and/or have a great time!

Tickets for the event are still available for another week or so over at Rhapsody Records bigcartel which you can find through clicking the poster below or link here.

So, Until the 31st in Teeside, I’ll catch you in the pit!
