French hardcore band Insurgent are due to make their way over the water for their UK tour this month with our good friends from the north east, Prozpekt supporting throughout the entire tour.

Based out of Hauts-de-France in the northern most region of France this band fuse their metalcore influences with melodic hardcore. From what I can hear it reminds me of early 2000’s hardcore such as Comeback Kid and Have Heart.

Insurgent

Their most recent works ‘Bring The Sword‘ released back in December 2025 through Useless Pride Records distinguishes just that sound.

Insurgent are due to land on British soil on April 17th to start out in Lincoln and make their way through the UK ending their tour with a show at The Hobbit in Southampton.

Our friends up in Teeside, Prozpekt are due to tour the UK with Insurgent. I recently caught Prozpekt in Middlebrough back in January supporting Lifesick and Overpower and since then they have been working hard in the studio and hitting up a few shows. Including yesterday, opening up for Gridiron, Missing Link and UKHC heavy hitters Splitknuckle in Newcastle through Conviction Records.

We spoke to Cal earlier this year about what we can expect this year from Prozpekt:

‘We have been cooking behind the scenes for a while now, we have written a new album in which instead of just one person making the music we have all come together and pushed our own influence into the music, we are extremely happy with the product that we landed on.’

Prozpekt’s sound is something genuine and something that doesn’t take itself too seriously and their always a fun show. Prozpekt sound can be influenced by:

‘For current Prozpekt I would say we spoke about everything when we had lineup changes and we all wanted and compromised on having a sound that was more uniform so for our next release I’d say our largest influence is probably Reaper Records type of bands like TUI, Backtrack that sort of era.’
