Each month, I aim to highlight bands, whether their music is new or old, in hopes of bringing them the attention they deserve. Just a few of my listening habits over the month!
You never know, you might even discover something for yourself!

Low Life – Too Hard 2 Die
Release Date: 6th July 2026
Record Label: Rucktion Records
London & LBU’s own Low Life released their most recent album Too Hard 2 Die at the beginning of July. Bringing back that tough guy beatdown style that we haven’t seen in UKHC for some time. Produced by their own Matt Darby at OSK Productions and created one hell of a drum sound.
A couple of the tracks I’ve fully enjoyed from the album was ‘Beat Cop’ & ‘The Lesson’. The album also features bands such as Ironed Out, Wears Me Out & Nine Bar in their tracks bringing together the family that LBU is. You can grab a copy of the new album over at Rucktion Records below.

Omnicide – Demo 2026
Release Date: 1st July 2026
Record Label: Self Released
Based throughout the UK from London to Glasgow, Omnicide’s debut demo From The Clyde To The Thames was released early on in July and definitely introduces you to the straight edge quartet. Recorded and mixed by Matt Darby at OSK Productions it has that grit you expect from UKHC.
The band had this to say about their recent demo:
‘Four songs from us about straight edge, about betrayal and about holding yourself accountable for your actions. Written out of love for our local scenes, and a desire to give more than we take.
For London Hardcore, and for Leeds Hardcore. For all of our friends and families. And for the straight edge.’
The lads recently played at Signature Brew Haggerston over the past weekend and they definitely put themselves on the map!

Heel Turn – Demo 2025
Release Date: 12th December 2025
Record Label: Self Released
Based out of Norwich, Heel Turn started out last year with their self titled debut demo in December 2025. With its raw sound and wrestling influence it gives a breath of fresh air from a scene thats growing in East Anglia.
In our recent interview they stated they couldn’t decide on a tempo for the tracks so there’s a slam version out there in the ether which you’ve got to get your hands on.
Basically, if you love hardcore and wrestling thenyou’d really enjoy watching and moshing to. I myself have been priviledged enough to have them on my first ever Hardcore at the Castle a few months back.

Last Wishes – Organized Hate
Release Date: 29th April 2022
Record Label: DAZE/The Coming Strife
Based out of Northern Ireland, Last Wishes released Organized Hate back in 2022. I’ve been listening to these guys for years but I’ve recently dived back into their discography, most particularly this album. It just brings that grit and aggression that they do so well and that they deserve being put on the map for.
From an old article back in 2022 vocalist Corin said this about the album:
‘We wanted to express the hardships of growing up in a place like Northern Ireland, but in a way that would be relatable to anyone no matter where they’re from as this kinda shit happens all over the world in different ways.’

Prowler – The Curse
Release Date: 29th September 2017
Record Label: Rucktion Records
I’m going back to the last decade with this one and if I go back even further, Prowler were one of the bands that got me into UKHC back in my teens years with Strictly 3.5 and of course with Nathan appearing on TRC tracks.
In 2017 they released their full length ‘The Curse’ with their dark gritty metallic style of play, Nathan’s vocals hit even harder. The first time I heard Devilman just made you yearn for the pit. London style in full force.
That metallic beatdown style from back then ‘chef’s kiss’.
I’d love to see these guys have at it again when they’re around! Both albums are available for purchase from the Rucktion Records Website.
